Connecting Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 with ESTOS products results in extended investment protection for companies
Starnberg, 08 April, 2009 – ESTOS, a leading manufacturer of Unified Communications Software, is pleased to announce that its middleware ESTOS CallControlGateway also facilitates the deployment of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 in the latest R2 version with existing TAPI PBX as well as with CSTA compatible telephony systems. In this context, the ESTOS product enables the controlling and monitoring of the legacy telephony components, thereby providing a higher level of investment protection for companies.
With the ESTOS CallControlGateway, all TAPI PBX and CSTA compatible telephone systems can be integrated simply and cost effectively with the Microsoft Office Communications Server R2 and the Microsoft Office Communicator Client via SIP and uaCSTA. The product supports features like make call, control call, call forwarding, the signaling of incoming calls as well as indicating the presence status “busy in a call” to the client. All functionalities are controlled via Microsoft Communicator Client using the existing PBX with the connected telephones. This results in enhancing investment protection for companies.
The user benefits from the extended scope of Microsoft Communications Server R2 features. These include presence management, instant messaging and conferencing. Enhanced conferencing functionalities with desktop sharing and the optimized integration of mobile devices characterize the latest R2 version of the Microsoft product.
